Why Affiliate Marketing Is A Must-Have In Your Business
According to Bloomberg.com, 8 out of 10 entrepreneurs who begin to take a stab at the arena of starting a business, fail within 2 years. Some of the most popular reasons are:
1) Not being in touch with the customer base
2) Not having a profitable business model
3) Not having the proper funds to carry out the effective gameplan for the business
Business owners make the mistake that they have to do everything on their own, rather than partnering up with someone, or creating enough capital with someone else’s products before spending a lot of money and resources while creating their own.
Affiliate marketing allows for a business to partner up, and generate big profits, and brand themselves all at the same time…all while you grow your business. Affiliate marketing has been something that hasn’t been popular to the mainstream until more recently, but for a long time, successful businesses have always done it, and there is a reason why.
Make More Money For Less
Let’s jump in straight to the point on this one. When you integrate affiliate marketing with your business, you instantly create profiting revenue if you’re using methods that involve free traffic methods. There are tons of products and services out there that you can promote within your desired
niche, and when your customer buys, you make the money.
This can sound to good to be true but the reality of things are that you didn’t have to pay for anything, neither did you have to create anything. The vendor/creator of the offer (a good offer that converts into sales) has already done everything for you. They should have designed a beautiful sales page, graphics for you to use to promote, ad copy, and they even take care of the payments so that you don’t have to do it. All you have to do is promote.
Imagine creating a service that specifically only sales affiliate products to your customers and clients. You have no overhead to make serious revenue. The only thing that may be an expense unto you is a few websites, an autoresponder which holds your database of emails, and maybe a few products that you have monthly memberships to. These are minimal expenses when you compare them to other resources that businesses spend a lot money on, such as leasing a building or super expensive equipment.
If you’re taking advantage of affiliate marketing, the necessity of going into serious debt should not be essential. You are creating little risk while running your business in you’re integrating affiliate marketing
in your business. That should relieve a lot of pressure from your shoulders as a business owner:)
Solve Problems That You May Not Be Able To Solve
You started a business in order to solve a problem…hopefully. Most people saw a need, and the business is what helps bring forth the solution. That is the first part to creating a successful business. Though you may be providing the solution to one problem, you are not able to provide every single solution to every problem that you customers may have.
Let’s say that you own a bakery that specializes in cakes. Maybe you’re such an expert that you won a contest and you learned the best techniques from team of Cake Boss. You specifically serve individuals that are there for your cake services. What about if they want cookies? After all, you have a bakery
right? Is that a customer that is lost forever? If you have affiliate products, the answer is no.
In this scenario, you can offer a product that solves a problem even though you may not be able to resolve it yourself. You do not have to give energy and resources in order to create the product for this particular customer. Isn’t that great news!?
Maybe there is a cookie shop right across the street and you tell the customer about them. After your customer goes across the street to purchase cookies from the cookie shop, the customer lets them know that they were referred by you!
What if you had a partnership with that cookie shop and you get a 50% commission from every product that is sold in that shop. I’m sure that every single person who desired cookies would be referred to that shop by you! This is a form of affiliate marketing that is available every day to businesses, but most do not realize the opportunity.
No Follow-Up or No customer service
The best thing about marketing affiliate products in my opionion is that you are merely a middle man. Once you connect the buyer and the seller together, you collect your commission, and step out of the deal. You are literally paid in order to get out of the way.
Once you make the sale, the buyer receives the product. From that point on, you do not deal with the buyer any longer when it pertains to the affiliate product itself. You look at companies like Comcast who have huge call centers for customer service in order to support those who have their services. That also means that there is more overhead and expenses if you’re going to provide legitimate customer service when you’re the owner of the product. Well…not in this case!
What about upsells and followup? Maybe the customer doesn’t purchase from you on the first touch, but if you follow up with them, they may purchase from you on the 3rd of 4th touch. Some service providers handle this for you. The customer is initially approached by you with the product, they go look at the price and don’t purchase on the first viewing, but they are thinking about it. Later on, they go on Google, and they see an advertisement for the product. Then they go Facebook and see another
advertisement for the same product. At some point, the customer gives in and makes the purchase. The purchase is then credited to you since you had the first initial contact. This affiliate game is too easy!
